Professor Kersti Börjars

I am Master of St Catherine’s College and Professor of Linguistics. I am particular interested in language change; why and how it happens. I have worked on Germanic languages, especially the Scandinavian ones, but I have also looked at change over time from a broader perspective. I am interested in how models of grammar can help us understand change, and in this respect I work particularly within Lexical-Functional Grammar.
